In 2023, the Town Board appointed 9 Town residents to an advisory committee tasked with creating a vision and strategic recommendations for the future of the former dairy barn and surrounding 307 acres of land.
Led by the Town’s Open Space Coordinator and Director of Planning, this advisory committee drew upon wealth of professional expertise and lived experience related to farming, education and program development, to create a set of strategic recommendations to achieve an innovative model for farmland access, environmental sustainability and community engagement.
